| title: | Re Changing gnome 2 2 splash screen per user |

I believe the gconf way was introduced in 2.1.x as
art.gnome.org says to use that method for 2.1.x but I
havent tried on 2.2.x because I really dont know
what it means to edit the gconf key?

Hello,
Is there a way to specify a splash screen for
one user
in gnome 2.2?
You can set which image is used for the spash
window by setting
the gconf key
/apps/gnome-session/options/splash_image
If I recall correctly, this was added in GNOME 2.4.
I dont think
theres any way to do a per-user splash screen in
GNOME 2.2.
